The people of the world practise the
system of partnership because they understand its efficiency. The amazing thing
is that Partnership in the kingdom of God is far more powerful and reliable
than what the world practises. This is because partners in the Kingdom of God
are co-labourers with God; the almighty, all powerful and most good God.
When you are in partnership covenant
with God; it makes all the difference in the world. This is because unlike men,
God will never cheat or lie to you “God
is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should
repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he
not make it good?” Numbers 23:19. You can be trust that God will keep His
own part of the covenant.
Partnership is joining forces with the
creator of the universe to ensure that His will is done on earth. Beloved, if
you desire to change things in your world, think about partnership. In 2
Corinthians 8:7, Apostle Paul admonished the Corinthian church to about in the grace
of giving (Partnership). From the book of Acts, we understand that Paul
embarked on several missionary journeys.
He desired that the Corinthian church
partake of His GRACE by giving towards his missionary efforts. Not that he
desired a gift as he told the Philippians but that fruits may abound to their
account. The Macedonians operated in this grace of partnership and according to
church history; they were the richest of all the churches that Apostle Paul
planted.
As a result of their faithfulness to partnership,
the Apostle Paul was refreshed in his work and he ministered more effectively
to people, the good news of the kingdom of God. The Macedonians were also
greatly favoured by God, in a partnership everyone wins. That’s the power of
partnership! The Apostle mentioned something to the Philippians that helps us
understand the benefits of partnership.
“Even
as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart;
inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the
gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.”
I want you to take note of the part of
the statement “ye all are partakers of my
grace.”
This means that both God whom Paul
represented and the Philippians were in the business of the gospel together.
The Apostle travelled around preaching the gospel, which was his part of the
covenant. The Philippians stayed back and ministered to his need which was
their part. This made them a partaker of Paul’s grace and rewards.
Prayer is a vital part of your
partnership because nothing works without prayers. However, your substance is
also of great value. The bible says that “money
answereth all things” Ecclesiastes 10:9. This is absolutely true. Money
enables the gospel to travel easily to any part of the globe that it needs to
go to. Money equally brings amazing influence to whoever wields it.
When Moses and the children of Israel
were leaving Egypt, Pharaoh wanted them to leave their substance behind and go
on ahead. But Moses refused. He was a man of God! His answer to Pharaoh enlightens us on the
purpose of our monies in our service to God.
“And Pharaoh
called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and
your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you. And Moses said,
Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice
unto the LORD our God. Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an
hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we
know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither” Exodus 10:24-26.
